Dreadful Girl Productions is excited to announce that we have a new show in production, and this is your chance to be a part of it! We are currently looking for acts set to the music of Prince. While burlesque acts will make up the bulk of the show, we are open to acts of all types. The sky is the limit, as long as it’s set to the music of our beloved, purple-clad pop icon. We are also seeking submissions for kittens/pickup artist(s), and host(s).
As with all Dreadful Girl shows, this show will be a scripted adventure. Performers will be given the opportunity to participate in the storyline with spoken lines and walk-on parts, as well as a group finale (which may or may not include a dance number). This type of participation is optional, but we encourage performers to get involved in the storyline because…well, because it’s really fun!
Dates
The show will take place at Re-Bar over two weekends, Feb. 20, 21st and Feb, 26th, 27th, and 28th in 2015. While we would prefer that each performer commit to the entire run, it’s possible that we can make small adjustments to the script to accommodate different lineups on different nights. If you have limited availability please include the details in the notes section of your submission.
Rehearsals
There will be one required dress rehearsal, date TBD, and if it is determined that there will be a closing group dance number there will be at least one additional rehearsal held to learn choreography.
Compensation
This show pays a guarantee per act per night, as agreed upon by the performer and Dreadful Girl Productions during the casting process, and you are encouraged to use the optional Desired Compensation field on submission form. There are also many opportunities for bonuses!
